I am pleased to announce a special issue in Transactions in Urban Data Science and Technology on the theme of Geospatial Artificial Intelligence for Urban Sustainability.

Cities represent the primary arena for human social activity and currently face escalating sustainability challenges. We invite research contributions that use GeoAI, remote sensing, or IoT data to inform urban sustainability decisions.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • GeoAI methodological advances
  • Deep learning based simulation
  • Urban digital twins
  • Multi scenario sustainability forecasting
  • Spatial assessment toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

I am honored to serve as a guest editor alongside Song Gao, Zhiyong Zhou, and Ce Hou.
